Sr. Jonep's installation

Meiling invited me to join her at the Formal Installation of Sr. Jonep (S. Josefina G. Nepomuceno, OSB) as the 15th President of the College on Friday 23 August 2002 at St. Cecilia's Hall, with a reception at the Sr. Kuniberta (remember he, our Grade School Directress?) Strathmann Hall of the St. Ottilien Building. This building is located where the old free school and the covered gym, successively, were during our time.

The pomp and ceremony of the investiture speaks of itself in the Highlights photos below and click here to see the entire sequence. Also see, the reception .

Prez Jonep's thank-you

I realized that we are now the torch bearers (there were so few alumnae older than us!!!) of the Benedictines in Manila.

I could not help but chide Sister Andy (of LasVegas fame) that if they had only told us we could be CEO of SSC one day, they could have harvested more nuns out of our class!!!. Our only garbed nun, being Ella Bulatao, Sr. Therese, OSB, who is now assigned in Africa. ... or that we could be sent for Masters and PhD within the "nunnery".

Too late the hero, we are now budding lolas. I changed my opinion quickly. I began to miss my Saria.

Then Elsa, Meiling and I snuck an added treat to this event. Having had a light dinner with Sr. Jonep, we drove to the CCP for Shoes. Neni would be there, too, with Aina.
