Prayer for the Dead (short version)
Prayer before Starting Work

Eternal Father from this day forward, I accept with a joyful and resigned heart the death it will please you to send me with all its pains and sufferings.

Is anybody happier because you passed his way,
Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today,
Were you selfish as you rushed along your way,
Or is someone mighty grateful for a deed you did today?

Can you say tonight in parting with the day that’s slipping fast
That you helped a single brother in the many that you passed,
Is a simple heart rejoicing over what you did or said,
Does a man whose hopes are fading now with courage look ahead?

Did you waste the day or lose it
Was it well or poorly spent?
Did you leave a trail of kindness,
Or a scar of discontent?
As you close your eyes in slumber,
Do you think that God would say,
You have earned one more tomorrow
By the work you did today.

Blessed Sacrament Chaplet

My Jesus, I believe that thou art present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love Thee above all things. I desire to receive Thee into my soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace Thee, and I unite myself entirely to Thee, as if Thou hast already come; do not permit me to ever be separated from Thee.

33 beads: Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament on the altar, have mercy on us.
